Bluetooth LED Hood Scoop for Mini Cooper
It is a set of individually addressable LED's encased in laser-cut acrylic that fit nicely inside the hex pattern of the hood scoop air intakes of mini coopers (2007+). There is a cable running from the LEDs under the hood and through the firewall and into the glovebox. The cable plugs into a custom made box that houses the microcontroller and bluetooth module, which receive power from a micro-USB cable that has been spliced to connect to a voltage regulator, which connects back to the car's battery using an add-a-circuit.
When powered up (by pressing the unlock button on your key fob) the LEDs run one light sequence that are timed nicely to the double blibk of the turn signals.
The most fun part is that the LED's are all controlled by an Android app I made. The app controls lighting sequences, their speeds, how long they play for, and a couple other cool things.
