It is technically a version of Rolls Royce Merlin aircraft engine, designed and built by the Packard Motor Company in the United States. The Packard Motor Car Company accompanied by Continental Aircraft built over 58,000 Merlins in the United States under license. Many were shipped to England, and others used in versions of other aircrafts. The video shows us this awesome engine while it was on display at the National Museum of Flight, Scotland Air Show. It has the sweetest sound ever!
