Bob Ida's Famous Hemi Healey Turns Back to Streets
Bob Ida, an accomplished custom builder and dedicated enthusiast who devoted his life to cars, spent his early days in Brooklyn, New York.
Deeply interested in automotive industry, Bob got bit by the hot rod bug early, saving pennies to purchase his first car, a 1934 Ford, which he bought at the tender age of 14. "I would save the lunch money my parents gave me and get lunch handouts from the girls," he says about his dedication. In today's video, we're checking out a vehicle owned by this lucky man. It's a Supercharged Hemi powered Austin Healey simply nicknamed as the "Hemi Healey". It was running well, but it had some problems with gears. After an extensive and detailed process of repair and restoration, it turns back to streets with its all glory.
