1930 Ford Model A "Rod"riguez is the Best Reflection of Hot Rod Mania in Japan
Since hot rod and custom mania spread all parts of the globe in the new millennium, the reflections of this enjoyable hobby became more and more visible, especially in Japan, the country where impossibilities turn into possibilities.
The "Rod"riguez hot rod as an amazing combination of hot rod, custom and lowrider styles is a great example of hot rods in Japan. The interest in American hot rods and custom vehicles in Japan had been increasing since the mid 1980's, bringing about many great examples and the "Rod"riguez is one of them! As a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan, the "Rod"riguez belnds many differently styles in a completely original way. It runs on a A 303-cid Rocket V-8 and Hydra-Matic transmission taken from a 1949 Oldsmobile. It wears a 60's style fogged paintjob and is equipped with custom dual-inlet carburetor scoop, custom rippled headers and plenty of chrome. A radiator from a 1968 Mustang is mounted behind the nose. Ingeniously sculpted fenders crafted in metal and spiderweb-shaped supports fashioned from chromed rebar rod are also added to this charismatic rat rod. The interior catches with the strikingly cool style of the exterior. Custom seats with segmented cushions show themselves off. The gas tank and battery are hidden behind the seats, underneath furry, '60s show rod-style carpet. Briefly talking, all is good about the "Rod"riguez.
