The Largest Hovercraft in The World
The Russian army hovercraft, worlds largest hovercraft also known as an air-cushion vehicle or The Zubr-class 1232,2, is a craft capable of travelling over land, water, mud or ice and other surfaces both at speed and when stationary.
It is 57 m (187 ft) long, 22.3 m (73.1 ft) wide and has a full load displacement of 535 tonnes (1.17 million lb). The Zubr is an amphibious landing craft able to deliver 360 troops or three battle tanks onto beaches at speeds of up to 60 knots (111 km/h or 69 mph). It has a crew of between 21 and 31, and is armed with two multiple rocket launchers, four portable air defence missile systems, and two 30 mm machine guns.The Zubr is able to travel over obstacles up to 2 m (6.5 ft) high.
