As known by many, the Panama Canal is an artificial 48-mile/77km waterway located in Panama, connecting the Atlantic Ocean with Pacific Ocean. Between estimated 13,000 and 14,000 ships pass through the canal each year and it takes six to eight hours for them to pass the canal.

Although the words "accident" and "the Panama Canal" are not common to be used together, a huge container ship hit the wall of the canal doing nothing but badly damaging the mule and scratching itself. This might be set a record being the slowest accident ever happened.
